Pair of Half Moon Carriage Foot Stools - English Regency - c1830

This lovely pair of Regency half-moon footrests are a charming example and rare as a matched duo.

These mahogany framed pair would have made the perfect place to get ones feet out of the draught and cold during a journey by horse-drawn carriage.
The upper quality textile is presented in serviceable condition and has signs of use expected with a light coloured fabric. Ready to use as they are, or would be a perfect project as a re-cover - they would be amazing with a needlepoint textile covering.

Overall a lovely pair of footstools which are both functional and look gorgeous. Very unusual as a pair and perfect for any collection.
