Pair of elegant Edwardian satinwood plant stands
This is a delightful pair of tall, 3-tiered satinwood plant stands of curvilinear design dating from the early 20th Century. The graduated, shield-shaped shelves are supported between three shaped uprights which end at the floor in scrolling feet. It is a simple but elegant design, which results in an extremely light yet well constructed stand.
Dimensions:
Height 133 cm (52 1/2")
Shelves are 28, 26 and 20cm wide
Condition: The stands are in excellent condition especially when you consider the thickness of the timber used in their construction. All joints are firm and there are no repairs. There is some slight warping and a couple of minor splits in the shelves but nothing which would prevent them from being used for their original purpose of holding and displaying house plants.
Their lightweight nature means that we would not recommend them for an area where young children play. A heavy pot on the lowest shelf should help stabilise them for their use in other areas.
Delivery: This pair of stands can be delivered to anywhere on mainland England and most of Wales for £50 by our trusted delivery man who is an expert in transporting antique furniture and artwork. Any other items which you may wish to purchase at the same time would only incur a small, if any, incremental charge for their delivery. Please contact us for a quote if you wish to purchase several items at the same time. You are also welcome to collect in person from the Tunbridge Wells area.
