Stunning pair of original painted Arts & Crafts single beds by the acclaimed makers and retailers Heal & Son of London c.1890. Canework panels, barley twist columns and stretchers and a carved and pierced top rail. Beautifully decorated with hand painted medieval inspired floral design very much in the style of William Morris and his contemporaries in the Arts & Crafts movement. Excellent condition, original throughout, retaining early pattern Heal & Son labels and sold together with the original irons. The two beds could be easily stood together to take a 6′ x 76” double mattress.
