Pair of Antique Edwardian Apex Silver-Plate Burner

This pair of silver-plate plate warmers were made by Apex and date from the from the first part of the twentieth century. They are stamped to the base. They are nice decorative pieces and retain their wicks.
Condition: Overall in fair-good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some denting, particularly around the base of one of the warmers. There is some surface pitting and corrosion and they would benefit from a careful clean. We are not sure if they are in working order as we have not tested them. One of the wick shields is stuck up and does not adjust with the knob, so this would need some attention.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
23cm high, 24.5cm diameter of top (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
