This stunning and superbly ornate 17th century carved walnut piece depicts a variety of period relief figures surrounding a chest with various drawers and hidden Chambers. The chest is heavily artistic in design and detail, with front legs poised as kneeling figures and the back legs as dense tree trunks. This beautiful, rare and unusual chest of drawers is an art sculpture as well as a very useable and functional storage unit. With an item of this age, there are several minor missing areas which, we feel do not at all detract in the overall beauty of this chest. It measures 37 in – 94 cm wide, 19 in – 48 cm deep and 37 ½ in – 95.5 cm in height. This chest would make a unique and exceptional focal point to any room, in a variety of setting.
