This Charming Oak Domed Top Chest/Trunk just Oozes' Character and Charm dating Circa 1830's. The Trunk is constructed of Large Single Planks to the Rear, Front and Ends, with Dovetailed Joints, the Domed Top has Good Strong Hinges and a working Sprung Lock to which there is a Key, to the one end there is a Candle Box, which also has an Internal Secret base that Lifts up also, the Chest is fitted with Strong Metal handles at either end and rest upon Four Wooden Wheels, the rear two do have considerable wear, but are solid, and the trunk sits nicely. This unusual lovely Solid Chest is very well made, heavy and probably Continental and would make a great Focal Point in any room, ideal for storage.
