1603 - North Italian Oak & Walnut Commode. Dating from the Early 18th Century.
Comprising two short drawers over two long ones. Having walnut panels to drawer fronts with boxwood stringing. The sides have two panels also veneered in Walnut giving the effect of raised and fielded panels. All the drawer linings are in oak as are the back boards. Original handles and locks
The whole is a rich “nutty” brown with a soft waxed sheen.
