Circa 1880, a matched pair of very unusual and stylish Victorian cast iron stick stands. The top sections have 8 circular hoops with stylish metalwork each side with castings of flower heads. The lifting handles on both the stands are very elaborate and attached to the open upright, which consists of floral decoration. The base of one of the stands is embossed No. 5, probably referring to the size of the piece. The trays lift have a decorated leaf edge. Below the base the stand has 4 small stylish feet (one has been replaced on one of the stands.). This is a matched pair with slight variations.
