Marble Topped Washstand by Liberty of London C1910

A super looking oak marble topped washstand by Liberty and Co surviving from the early 20th Century. Classic Liberty with a super organic form and real style. Coppered motifs and elegant drop handle.
Pieces from this period from Liberty usually stand out and this one is no exception. The proportions and scale are good, those wonderfully shaped feet, copper motifs, original tiled back and the use of a well figured piece of marble all stack up beautifully. Originally part of a bedroom set, this would not look out of place in a hallway, living room or maybe a kitchen diner.
Workshop report – The piece has been carefully cleaned and is ready to place. The top separates from the base for easier lifting and placing. All the hardware is present, the oak is of a good tone with no splits or repairs, just sensible day to day aging. The two oak towel rails are in situ. The original tiles are in place, we do have a little aging to the tiled back but again nothing nasty – no broken tiles. The chamfered marble top has marks and a little wear to the back, not off putting or new. The base also sits firm with no wobbles. Expect a well-aged piece.

Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions
If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.
On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
