This compact is suitable for use with both loose and pressed / solid face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A beautiful unused vintage Stratton " Mini-Convertible " compact with all the original accessories in superb condition. The lid has a granular gilt background which contrasts perfectly with the floral motifs and foliage which are highly polished and gleam in the light. Images one and three show light reflecting off the compact - in person it looks much more beautiful. The lids lifts to reveal an excellent mirror which gives a clear accurate reflection. The powder well is protected by the original waxed paper insert which is pristine. This compact comes with the original signed Stratton presentation box, pale grey velour pouch which is signed " Stratton " in gilt letters, the silk and foam puff, velour edged sifter and inspection docket - they are all in excellent unused condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base is decorated with the design the makers called the " Woven effect " and signed " Stratton ENGLAND ". This compact was coated with a layer of transparent enamel at the point of manufacture and so it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned.
This vintage compact mirror measures 3 " and weighs 75.6 grams.
