A lovely antique bookcase cabinet. We date this bookcase to the early 20th century.
The bookcase is supplied as a single section and sits on six carved legs, four at the front and two at the rear, there is a stepped cornice to the top.
The front of the bookcase has three side hinged glazed doors with bevelled glass panes and wood glazing strips. The doors are fitted with attractive drop handles and working locks (key supplied).
The interior of the bookcase has two adjustable wooden shelves to each section.
The bookcase has an overall height of 50.5" (129cm), a width of 60" (153cm) and a depth of 15" (38cm).
The internal shelf depth is 10” (26cm).
This lovely oak bookcase cabinet remains in good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including very minor wear to some edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase. It could house a good sized collection of books or object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
