Large Antique French Provincial Oak Armoire
Large Antique French Provincial Oak Armoire
This is a solid oak French provincial armoire dating to around the late 19th/early 20th century.
This piece is very large and striking, and as a bonus is designed to completely disassemble into flat sections for ease of transport and moving. Internally it has a large hanging area with a rail fitted to the underside of an adjustable shelf and the base has a large slide out drawer.
The panelled doors are edged in carved moulding and flanked by turned columns. The cornice front and sides also have carved mouldings whilst the drawer front to the base is disguised with a panel effect.
CONDITION
The condition is good overall and it is structurally sound. The hanging rail is bent but fairly cheap to replace and it is not an original part. The cornice has been damaged and suffered loss to the moulding above the left column and on the right side and there is a drying line also on the right side. None of this effects the stability or use of the piece and all points are shown in the photos. It has other marks/knocks commensurate with age.
The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width 155.5cm (61 1/4in)
Depth 72cm (28 1/4in)
H 245cm (8ft 1in or 97in)
For transportation and moving this armoire is designed to be completely dismantled into flat sections.
Delivery costs to most UK mainland destinations start at £95.
