Lacquered Chinoiserie Cocktail Drinks Cabinet
A magnificent antique Louis XV style lacquered chinoiserie cocktail drinks cabinet. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.
This is a most impressive piece of extremely high quality. It sits on an exquisitely carved base with a platform stretcher, there is stunning lacquered chinoiserie decoration throughout. The colour tones are predominantly deep scarlet red and gold, typical of the Chinese style.
The interior is beautifully fitted out with drawers and glass shelves, the inside of the door panels are veneered in burr walnut and have amazing inlaid floral motifs.
This is in excellent condition for its age, with a gorgeous patina, and some minor wear here and there. We have had this re-polished and gently revived.
