An impressive late Victorian / Edwardian book rest, professionally cleaned and polished to it's former glory.

Standing on a heavy cast and polished iron base, the frame holding the Mahogany book rest is made from polished brass all in all a wonderful combination of materials. The Mahogany is inlaid with a shell of Satinwood and Harewood.

A wonderful and most unusual example in excellent condition dating to c.1900. The base diameter measures 6 3/4" in diameter. The bookstand spans 14 1/2" wide (max) and stands 20" tall.
