Interesting Gothic revival side table c.1860. In the manner of Augustus Pugin and of superb quality, in solid walnut throughout. Inch thick top with chamfered edges over two drawers retaining the original heavy brass handles with a hammered surface to the backplates. Panelled sides with chamfered surrounds. Raised on square legs with shaped cross braces below the projecting front and forming a pointed Gothic arch to the sides. Very sturdy construction with double stretchers between the legs. Very good colour and condition, some old marks to the top, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
