Good set of William IV mahogany dining chairs
These are as good a set of four William IV dining chairs as you will see. The chairs are made in solid mahogany and date to around 1830. They are sturdy chairs. The chairs have well carved top rails and particularly opulent carved and pierced mid rails. The front legs are turned and reeded in the Gillows manner. (There is no label on the chairs). The chairs have drop in seats.
The chairs are in good condition. The mahogany is a rich colour and well polished. The joints are solid. The upholstery is clean and usable. As these are drop in seats it would be very easy to tack over a material in keeping with your own colour scheme. Old repairs as you would expect but nothing obvious and everything solid.
These are good chairs and will look good around a small period table. They are ready to go straight in to your home.
Each chair back is 33.75 inches high and the seats are 18 inches high and 18 inches wide.
