Good Quality Antique Half Hunter Pocket Watch
Good quality antique half hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a high grade movement, possibly from Minerva, which is working nicely. 15 jewels, adjusted, screw set jewels, swan neck regulator and Breguet hairspring. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a long but fairly light scratch.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, an English manufacturing company who supplied various watch makers. The case is in lovely condition and has engine turned detail to both the front and back, and a vacant cartouche to the back. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition.
The double sunk dial is in very nice condition too and it has the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read even when the front cover is closed. The minute hand is a period replacement.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
