Gillows “Spanish” buttoned leather armchair
A Regency period Gillows “Spanish” scrolled library armchair in solid mahogany and newly upholstered in an Ox blood and buttoned leather, finished with brass studs.
Very comfortable armchair, the curve of the frame supporting one very well indeed and this is quite a deep chair too.
Circa 1820 and super quality as you would expect by Gillows.
Measuring:
39 inches or 99 cm high
25 inches or 63.5 cm wide
40 inches for 101.5 cm deep
16 1/2 inches or 42 cm seat height
21 inches or 53.5 cm between the arms Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
