Here we have for sale a lovely pair of early 19th Century hallmarked silver Old English pattern sugar tongs of good gauge, a really elegant item of George III period silverware with no monograms or armorial's.

Silversmith: William Sumner I
Assay office: London (please note marks are lacking leopard head but are otherwise crisp and legible)
Year of manufacture: 1803
Weight: 34 grams app
Length: 14 cm app

Condition report: In good overall condition, both bowls are crisp, however one is slightly misshapen, there are some surface scratches and tarnish marks and a deeper scratch at the rear of the bow.
