Georgian Mahogany Tall Boy Chest-on-chest Tall Boy Chest %%alt5%%
A handsome, commodious, and super quality George III mahogany Tall Boy or Chest-on-Chest, having an overhung dentil cornice, fluted cant corners, oak lined drawers with brass ‘swan neck’ handles, and raised on bracket feet.

Width 46” (117cm) Depth 22” (56cm) Height 75” (191cm)

Condition and Details of Restoration

This chest is in original untouched structural condition, apart from the handles which are of the period but nonetheless replacements. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor knocks (particularly to the cornice), a repair (completely sound) to the bottom right of the bottom drawer front of the top section, and old marks underneath the polish as might be expected on an example of this age, as can be seen from the photographs. There are some minor marks left by previous handles, but very small and certainly nothing unsightly.
