Georgian mahogany pedestal Pembroke sofa table
Antique Georgian Regency inlaid mahogany pedestal Pembroke sofa table, dating from the first 30 years of the 19C.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character.
Very attractive patinated flame mahogany top.
Lovely rare light colour, with ebonised inlaid stringing.
No loose joints or wobbles and the drawer slides freely.
Simple four legged base and a beautifully turned stem, terminating in period brass castors (some wear as you would expect).
Would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 104cmW (55cmW closed) x 82.5cmD x 73cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Some historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. There are historic structural repairs and a period steel strengthening plate to the underside of the base (nearly all similar antique tables have these). Later handles. No key and the lock is untested.
