Georgian Mahogany Console / Silver Table
Possibly Irish, this is a fine Georgian mahogany display table of narrow 'console' proportions.
It has carefully balanced well shaped cabriole legs, which have been superbly carved with deep and crisp shell and acanthus leaf decoration to the knees, terminating in scroll feet with further acanthus leaf detail running up the back of the legs.
This table is in excellent condition.
There is a very old, sound and properly made repair to one of the legs, and the top has some old markings deep within the patination, which should not be disturbed. `
