Good sized George III mahogany chest on chest c.1800. With two short drawers over six long drawers of graduated height. Crisp moulded cornice with inlaid stringing and a crossbanded and inlaid frieze continued on the sides. Matched flame mahogany veneered (onto oak) drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and retaining the original heavy brass swan neck handles. Canted and fluted front corners, ogee mouldings to the waist and base and raised on shaped bracket feet front and rear. Superior quality with solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
