This lovely antique table looks to date from the first part of the nineteenth century and is of superb quality. It is very much in the Chippendale style with rococo-style carvings around the edges of the table top and the legs. The table is constructed from solid mahogany. It has a drop leaf to one side, which is supported on two pull-out legs. However, the leaf can be remove entirely allowing for the table to be used as a d-end table, giving it a versatility of uses as a small dining table, a side table or a hall table. It is supported on tapering wooden legs with decorative carvings and on tapering wooden feet. There are no maker's marks or labels.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. There are some areas of old restoration and repair.

The approx measurements are as follows:
72cm high, 60cm high to apron, 132cm wide, 121cm deep (extended), 63cm deep (with leaf dropped) (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
