George III Silver Chamberstick
This is an unusual George III Chamber Stick of circular form with fluted column and gadrooned base. There is a detachable sconce, snuffer, and pricket insert. There is a rubbed family crest to the base and snuffer.
The Chamber Stick weighs 172g and measures 83mm across the base and 70mm high.
Made by Silversmith Thomas & Joseph Guest & Joseph Craddock this was a London maker, but there is no London Assay Office mark. The date letter Q being 1811 for London Assay Office. The hallmark includes a duty mark.
The Chamber Stick is in good condition but lacks hallmarks to the pricket inset. ITEMS PURCHASED ON OR AFTER 31ST OF MAY WILL NOT BE POSTED UNTIL THE 21ST JUNE 2024.
