The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the onion winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1918 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell.
From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.
The case is in very nice condition.
The watch glass has some nibbles to the edge but not too noticeable at all to the naked eye.
The white enamel dial is signed Renown. This brand name was registered by the Swiss manufacturer Record Dreadnought Co Ltd. There is a faint hairline crack but again it is not overly noticeable to the naked eye.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
