Gents large 1920s wristwatch, Dunklings, Melbourne
Gents large 1920s wrist watch from Dunklings, Melbourne.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch is a very good size at 39mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed lugs. The case is nickel and it is in good condition for such an early piece, some surface marking and a little unevenness to the back but overall very acceptable.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, Dunklings of Collins Street and Bourke Street, Melbourne. Dunklings were renowned for retailing fine antique jewellery and watches. The enamel dial has a few hairline cracks but they are quite faint and not immediately noticeable to the naked eye.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
