The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is the grade 367 movement which has nicely patterned plates, a Breguet hairspring and screw-set jewels. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 27,568,478 which dates it back to 1932.
The watch measures 32mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow 1934 with a case maker's mark &RHJS (this is quite an unusual case maker's mark for a Waltham watch, we have only seen a handful of examples). The case is in lovely condition, as is the lens.
The signed dial is in lovely condition.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in an antique presentation box from a Wolverhampton jeweller.
