Gents 1970s Arlaska wrist watch.
The brand name Arlaska was registered in 1972 by Hebe Watch SA.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel Unitas 6325 hand-winding movement (so called Wehrmachtswerk or army movement) which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and overall it is in good condition, some surface marking to the back but nothing too serious. The screw-on case back has an image of a rocket tank. We are not sure of the significance of this image, perhaps it marked an historical occasion such as the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty of 1972.
The lens has a couple of minor marks.
The dial is signed Arlaska Suisse, 17 rubis, Swiss. It is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is light marking but very acceptable.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
