The watch has a good quality ETA hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the handsomely shaped lugs. The case is plated and there is some light marking but overall very acceptable for a 1950s piece. The case back is stainless steel.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed HRL for H Rüttimann from Lucerne in Switzerland. Mr Rüttimann set up shop in 1950 and was listed as having a small chain of four shops specialising in the retail of watches and antique jewellery. The dial is in its original finish with original hands, red centre seconds hand and outer minute markers. There is light freckling across the dial.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
