French Mother Of Pearl & Gilt Metal Tussie Mussie
A really pretty late 19th century French "tussie mussie" posy holder with ornate pierced and embossed gilt metal flower cage with daisy flowers decorated with pale pink and duck egg blue enamel and finely engraved floral decoration. The original flower pin is attached by a very fine flat link chain and finished with a carved, turned mother of pearl handle. c.1880.
It measures 13.3cm (5 1/4") long and 5cm (2") wide.
Condition is very good with just minor wear to the enamel. There would have been a finger ring on a chain around the lower part of the handle originally. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
