Antique French Burr Walnut & Gilt Mounted 5ft Bed with the label for the Famous Parisian Furniture Company Mercier Frères and dating from around 1900.The headboard with deep moulded and gilt top rail above a burr walnut panel which is strung and cross banded and with beautiful gilt mounts to each side. The footboard has a deep moulded top rail above a burr walnut strung panel again with gilt mounts to each side and it stands on turned legs with gilt mounts and has screw in side rails. Takes a standard 5ft mattress.
Absolutely Superb Quality Bed.

Measures 53" high to headboard x 31" high to footboard x 82" long ( internal length 76") x 60" wide ( 5ft).

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
