Selling is a superb Edwardian Inlaid Bureau de Dame (Davenport Desk ). The desk is in two pieces, the top of the desk is inlaid with an urn with flowers. Below this it has a four sectional bevel mirrored door in the centre, which when opened reveals a fitted letter rack inside. On either side of the centre cupoard it has a mirror with a shelf below. Beneath this it has a centre mirror and two inlaid panels.The top section in supported by two elegantly carved columns. The top of the desk is fitted with a pen and pencil slot and sections for ink wells. The fall is fitted with its original insert which has marks on it, which is expected having been used for over a 100 years, but it is not ripped or torn and no doubt could be revived. When opened it reveals two drawers and ample storage space . The right hand side of the desk has two drawers, the left handside has two dummy drawers. The front section has a beautiful inlaid panel beneath this it has a shelf and carved columns on eithe side. The desk stands on its original casters.
