Fine Quality Inlaid Pop-Up Writing Desk
A fine inlaid mahogany metamorphic writing desk with original silver fittings, London 1899. The desk was made by Bagshaw & Sons of Liverpool and is beautifully crafted, having a well engineered raising mechanism so that, when the desk is opened, the interior fittings rise smoothly ready for use as a writing desk.
The desk appears untouched by any restoration and the mahogany at the back is slightly faded where it has been in front of a window. It has fine boxwood inlay and tooled leather writing surface.
The measurements, when closed are:
Width: 62 cm (24.5")
Depth: 64 cm (25.25")
Height: 79 cm (31")
When opened, the desk is 121 cm (47.5") All items are sold with a 14 day money back guarantee. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, we will gladly issue a refund (excluding carriage costs). The item must be returned in the same condition as it left us. The refund will be issued on the item's return to our premises.
