A wonderful vintage cut crystal jar or box, topped with an English sterling silver lid with a lavishly gilded interior.

The top is crowned with an exquisite lemon yellow guilloche enamel with bright shiny patina showcasing the engine turning below, all in pristine condition. The silver has a full English hallmark for London 1940. The makers initials are also present, I believe for the silversmith, Clifford Brothers.

The lid diameter measures 2 1/2" the jar standing 1 5/8" tall.
