Approximate dimensions: Length when closed 54mm, length when extended 127mm, weight 17g.
The pencil is in working order and contains some pencil lead.
The hallmarks are rubbed so cannot date it exactly but it is circa Edwardian times.
It opens by pulling like a telescope until fully extended.
To close push as a telescope. The last little bit is quite stiff so it helps if it is turned.
