An Early 18th Century Four Panelled Oak Coffer with Original Carvings,
Circa 1710.

An impressive carved oak coffer built using traditional peg construction and exhibiting medullary rays throughout the grain. Thus giving this four panelled coffer a highly desirable patina and rich colour.

With it's original carvings showcasing a gauge carved top rail and figurative diamonds below, set at intervals between floral carvings, on stile feet.

Lid opens on later, hand forged iron butterfly hinges
