Chinese Bird Cage
An unusual and decorative Chinese bird cage made from stripped bamboo with large brass hanging hook. The cage is opened by sliding the thin bamboo strip upwards (see photos 4,5 and 6)
The interior with a single circular perch and wooden base. Legend has it that the small open circle is for the bird to retreat into the cage to escape cats. In good useable condition, with Chinese characters to the top turning. More photos available on request.
