A good early chest with four long drawers which run along the width of the piece.

The chest splits in two, i.e. the top 2 drawers can be lifted off making this very solid piece of antique furniture easier to handle and is absolutely typical of this style of chest. All the drawers have side runners and very crude dovetails, a real joy for the early oak collector.

The handles have, at some time, been replaced but again, are true to style. Everything about this piece is original, bar the handles, and the measurements are
