A high quality 1950s Stratton loose powder compact and perfume bottle in the original case. The unused Stratton 'Princess' powder compact has the most enchanting lid - an engine turned Catherine Wheel design. The gleaming interior of the compact contains an excellent clear mirror which has the original mirror stickers. The catch and hinge work perfectly. The inner lid is signed 'Stratton' and bears the 'Compact-in-Hand' logo. The original pouch, pristine silk topped puff and sifter are all present. The compact measures 3" and weighs 91.4 grams. The perfume bottle has a post deco design. Both items will never need to be cleaned, as the makers applied a layer of lacquer. The top of the perfume bottle has the original perfume dropper attached. We are not sure if the bottle has been used to store perfume. The perfume bottle measures approximately 1 3/4" and weighs 33.9 grams.

The interior of the presentation case is with lined has a silk which is signed 'Stratton' in gilt letters. The interior base contains velvet clad recesses. The exterior of the hard case does look antique.
