Carved Mahogany Large Glazed Display Cabinet
A lovely mahogany display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the first half of the 20th century.
The display cabinet is supplied in a single section.
The display cabinet sits on four cabriole legs with ball and claw feet.
The display cabinet has a pair side hinged glazed doors, with a shapely top. The glazed doors have a wooden beading strip down the center with an ornate carving at the top. The right hand door is fitted with a working lock (key supplied). The sides of the cabinet each have a glazed panel.
There is a small carved gallery to the top rear of the cabinet
The interior of the cabinet is fitted with two removable fixed position full width glass shelves and has been lined with a beige velour fabric.
The display cabinet has an overall height of 49.5" (126cm) with gallery, table top height 46.5'' (118cm), a width of 47.5" (121cm) and a depth of 13.5" (35cm).
This lovely mahogany display cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear and marks to the material from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany display cabinet. It could house a good sized collection of object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
