A charming Charles II period bobbin turned side table C 1670. A bodger would work all week in the woods, turning timber ' in the green' on a pole lathe. hence the irregularities of the turning movement.' This nicely proportioned table has bobbin turned legs and original ironwork handles. A great survivor of many hundreds of years with almost no signs of restoration or finish revival. Height : 66.5cm.
