Such a hard to find mid-century vanity set! It comprises of a Stratton loose foundation compact mirror and matching lipstick mirror / holder. The lids are decorated with gold fleur de lis and polka dots on a black background. There isn't any loss of design. Both mirrors give good and accurate reflections. The original mirror sticker is in place, as are the original guarantee rosette, felt pouch, puff and sifter. The inner lid is signed Stratton.

The lipstick mirror is also signed Stratton PAT. No 653293 in elegant lettering.

The original salve cups are in place. The cups allow the fitting of lipstick tubes measuring from 11 - 13 mm diameter. The set is in good condition with no appearance of any foundation powder residue. The clasps and hinges work perfectly. The compact measures 2 7/8 inches diameter. Weighs 77 grams. The lipstick mirror measures just over 4 inches long. Weighs 52.1 grams.

The set is presented in the original hard case which is lined with cream satin emblazoned with the Stratton signature. Custom made recesses covered with deep crimson velvet hold the accessories in place. The exterior case is looking its age.
