Oriental Bamboo Cabinet - Victorian - c1890
This attractive bamboo Victorian period glazed cabinet is a splendid example presented in good condition.
The cabinet has perfect proportions for use as a lamp stand, bookcase, bathroom cabinet, in the lounge, reception, office or bedside.
A quality item of antique furniture with desirable original lacquer finish to the top detailed with oriental theme and displaying deep vibrant hues. The sides of the cabinet display a fine original faux croc-skin affect.
A glazed door opens with the original brass catch to reveal twin shelves to the interior each wearing their original bamboo shelf edging to the front.
Sweeping legs to the front are united by a front stretcher with vertical risers.
The cabinet is solid in use, robust and free of wobble so often associated with this type of design.
