A delightful late 19th Century joined oak jardinière or planter in the Arts & Crafts taste. Bears makers’ label for ‘R. A. Lister & Co. Ltd, Dursley, England’.

About R. A. Lister & Co. Ltd:
R. A. Lister & Co. Ltd are a company world-renowned for their agricultural equipment (particularly in the 19th Century) and later for their petrol and diesel engines, but in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries they also manufactured a wide range of ornamental furniture covering everything from garden seats, plant tubs, bellows and small coopercraft items, some of which were made from the timber of old battleships. Apart from use within the home they often formed part of the furnishings on large luxurious ocean liners.
Condition & Details of Restoration:
This item is in excellent original structural condition. The polish has been revived by our own polishers, by hand in the traditional manner.
