Arts & Crafts Liberty side table in walnut made by William Birch of High Wycombe.

This is an arts & crafts table designed and made at William birch's workshops in High Wycombe and retailed solely through Liberty in London c1895. There are a couple of key points to note, firstly the over hang size from the top to the size of the base it attaches to on the under support for the table. This denotes the vogue in Scottish or Glasgow style at this time. Secondly the ring turning and thirdly the small round knop on the bottom of the feet. Its in wonderfuly condition and a lovely Liberty Arts and Crafts piece a real bargain thats a good investment. See page 200 of Liberty Furniture 1875-1915 by Daryl Bennett. made in walnut.
