A rare mahogany single bed made by Arthur Simpson and retailed by Heals c1900. This bed is similar to beds made by Simpson for C F A Voysey, the esteemed Art & Crafts architect and designer. In fact they were friends and Voysey designed Littleholme, Simpson's house, in 1909.
The bed is in good used condition, has a brass Heals label and a good staples spring base separate from iron supporst. It measures 204 cm x 95 x 121.
