Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco walnut wardrobe, designed with two dome-shaped doors, in lovely figured walnut, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The two-door Art Deco wardrobe is designed with two lovely raised dome-shaped doors, along with elegant curved moulded corners and edges. The right-hand door retains the original push-button lock and brass working lever lock, with working key and the original brass reeded metal door handles. All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition. The doors open to reveal the original metal hanging rail, with six adjustable metal hooks. There are also six further fixed metal hooks attached to the back wall of the Art Deco wardrobe. The inside of the right-hand door features a long mirror and the floor of the wardrobe features its original metal shoe rail, designed, to allow your shoes to be stored at an angle, with the soles off the floor.
This Art Deco walnut wardrobe sits on an elegant detachable bracket foot plinth, which can be removed for easy access into the home. The main body of the Art Deco wardrobe, can be dismantled into two sections (if required), for easy access up a staircase and into the bedroom.
The Art Deco walnut wardrobe boasts a lovely rich colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The Art Deco wardrobe would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the bedroom as an armoire / closet. This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco walnut wardrobe, designed with two dome-shaped doors, in lovely figured walnut, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The Art Deco wardrobe has been cleaned and wax-polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading external edges, sides and interior, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition. The door lock is original and in working condition, with a working key. The chrome hanging rail and hooks are intact and in excellent condition. Importantly, there are no splits to the doors and they close flush to the frame. The interior is clean and the wardrobe is solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. If you live in one of the areas where we do not offer free delivery, please contact us for a delivery quote before purchasing the item. Delivery will be made by our specialised antique furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries.
Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
We will also provide you with our shippers' contact details, in case you need to contact the driver on the day of delivery. It's helpful if you can provide us with both the landline and mobile telephone number, in case the driver cannot reach you on one of the numbers on the day of delivery, they can contact you on your alternative number.
In order to be able to offer you free delivery, it is based on a 1-man delivery only. For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. A 14-day free “no quibble” UK returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item.
