A stylish Art Deco oak bookcase dating from circa 1940s. In a well-figured light coloured oak, this good quality bookcase has a short raised back above two tracery glazed doors with grape vine carving all standing on stylised bracket feet. The door locks and comes with a key and the 3 shelves to the interior are fully adjustable with brass pegs. A useful size, this bookcase would look stunning in a hall, study or living room. The back is stamped with the “two cheese” marks the logo for the Utility Furniture Advisory Committee of 1942.

Good condition with colour and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age.
