Art Deco Large Carved Oak Triple Door Bookcase
A lovely Art Deco bookcase cabinet. We date this bookcase to the 1930s.
The bookcase is supplied as a single section and sits on four attractively carved and well turned legs at the front and two square section legs to the rear. There is a small gallery to the rear and sides.
The front of the bookcase has a bowed shape and has three side hinged doors. The central door has ornate carvings with a carved button handle in the center, the two side doors are glazed with wood glazing strips and small carved button handles. All the doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied).
The interior of the cabinets have three adjustable wooden shelves to each section.
The bookcase has an overall height of 55.5" (141cm), a width of 55" (140cm) and a depth of 18" (46cm) at its deepest.
This lovely oak bookcase cabinet remains in good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including very minor wear and indents to some edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase. It could house a good sized collection of books or object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
